Antique Mahogany Regency/early Victorian Writing Desk
You are buying this lovely antique desk dating from around 1790-1840 in the Regency manner. With 3 drawers and two cupboards (each with a shelf midway) there is lots of elegant storage and a large area for writing. Could also be used as a dressing table or hall table. Original handles and castors, all legs are sound and beautifully turned. There have been minor repairs (looks like it had a gallery at some time) and some cracks to the sided over the years and a shelf from the kneehole is missing. The flame mahogany is in good condition, but it would benefit from a re-polish overall. A lovely piece of furniture, really well made and very useful as well as aesthetically pleasing.
