Dress the tree with Dunelm baubles and Christmas tree decorations: glass baubles, shatterproof sets, hanging figures, tinsel, beads and tree toppers, plus personalised keepsakes, all with today's prices.
Choosing a colour scheme first makes a tree look finished rather than busy. Classic red and gold feels traditional, white and silver looks crisp and wintry, and natural wood, acorns and woven decorations suit a Scandi or rustic tree.
Glass or shatterproof? Glass baubles have a beautiful shine and make treasured keepsakes, while shatterproof baubles look much the same but survive a knock from children, pets or a wobbly tree. Mixing sizes - a few large statement baubles with lots of smaller ones - gives depth.
Finishing touches. Top the tree with a star, angel or fairy, add tinsel or bead garlands for sparkle, and hang personalised decorations to mark a first Christmas or a new home. Find the tree itself on our Dunelm Christmas trees page.
As a guide, around 40-60 baubles suit a 6ft tree and 60-80 a 7ft tree, mixing a few large baubles with plenty of smaller ones and some hanging decorations.
