About our Desks Range

Whether you work from home, study, game or just need somewhere to deal with the household paperwork, the right desk makes the room work harder. Here you'll find computer desks, office desks, corner desks, desks with drawers and storage, gaming desks and height adjustable desks, in oak, white, black, glass, metal and more.

Start with the space: measure the wall or alcove, leave room to pull a chair out, and decide whether you need a compact desk for a bedroom or a larger desk for two monitors. Then choose the storage and finish that suit the rest of the room.

We don't sell furniture ourselves. When you find a desk you like, click through to the retailer to check the latest price, stock, delivery charges and returns policy before you buy.

Choosing the right size

A standard desk is around 120-140 cm wide and 60-80 cm deep. Small computer desks start at about 100 cm wide, while a corner or L shaped desk needs roughly 150 cm along each wall. Allow at least 80 cm behind the desk so you can move your chair comfortably.

Storage and cables

Drawers, shelves and a monitor stand keep the surface clear, and cable holes or trays hide the wires. If you mainly use a laptop, a slim desk with a single drawer may be all you need.

Finish and style

Oak and wood-effect desks feel warm and traditional, white and high gloss suit bright modern rooms, black and metal give a more industrial look, and a glass top helps a small room feel lighter.

Frequently asked questions

What size desk do I need?

For a laptop or everyday computer use, a desk 100-120 cm wide and 50-60 cm deep is enough. If you use two monitors, a keyboard and papers, aim for 140 cm wide and 70-80 cm deep. Measure the space first and leave room to pull your chair back.

What is the difference between a computer desk and an office desk?

A computer desk is usually designed around a screen and keyboard, often with a shelf or tray for the keyboard or a space for a tower. An office desk tends to have a larger work surface and more drawers for paperwork. In practice the two overlap, so choose by the size and storage you need.

Are corner desks worth it?

Yes, if you have a spare corner. A corner or L shaped desk gives you much more work surface than a straight desk in the same footprint, which is useful for two monitors or a mix of computer and paperwork. They do take more room overall, so measure both walls first.

Can I buy a desk with storage?

Yes. Many desks include drawers, shelves or a cupboard, and some have a filing drawer or hutch above the desk. Use the Desks with Storage page or the filters to narrow the range.

What height should a desk be?

Most fixed desks are 72-76 cm high, which suits most adults when paired with an adjustable chair. If you are much taller or shorter, or you want to alternate between sitting and standing, a height adjustable desk is a better fit.
