Crafted from solid fragrant Lebanon cedar wood, every Fiord Stool is turned and carved by hand to create its distinct design, painstakingly crafted by the most talented and dedicated Italian craftsmen. Its wedge in the side was milled in, giving the stool a decorative sculptural quality. The nature of this piece, and the use of natural materials with their own characteristics means each Fiord stool is a true one-off with their own subtleties and individual wood grain pattern. Every stool is stamped with the distinctive Riva 1920 logo . Like many solid wood products, Fiord may alter over time. Small cracks or splits are considered normal, adding maturity and character as time passes. Fiord matures well with age to give years of pleasure and functionality in any environment. To preserve the colour and release the natural cedar scent, a maintenance kit is provided. The kit includes a pair of gloves and pads to lightly sand the wood . While the stool can be used indoors and outdoors, it is preferable that outdoor spaces are covered. Fiord works best when paired in groups or with other stools from Riva 1920 such as the Lampadina, also sold byHeal's.
